Growing Carmarthenshire

We supported Carmarthenshire Public Service Board to host an event designed to increase the public pound spent on local food. Reforming public sector food procurement is a powerful way in which we can reduce food miles, support a diverse local economy and deliver healthier meals to schools, hospitals and other public organisations.

Designed to engage the farming and food supply chain community across Carmarthenshire, we worked with the team at Carmarthenshire Council to organise and facilitate an online workshop with procurement leads to discuss how we can tackle the current obstacles in place, learn from international examples of new food models and grow a more diverse range of products locally.
